About Us

Celebrating Cultural & Connection through Sport

At Koorie Academy, we are all about kids learning and playing in a culturally safe and welcoming environment.

Creating positive change in shaping the lives of Young Aboriginal Community Children.

We come from many clans but together we are one mob.

Our
Mission

Celebrating Culture & Connection through Sport

Celebrating Culture through sporting clinics, cultural workshops and dance, is what we do! Koorie Academy brings children and their families together in an environment that is culturally rich, welcoming and full of FUN. Our team of Deadly Coaches along with Aboriginal artists and leaders facilitate workshops and clinics for all ages and skill levels.

What we do

Koorie Academy runs various Cultural workshops and basketball programs on select weekends and during the school holidays.

All of our programs bring Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander children, young people and their families together to learn about Culture through the sport of basketball.
